Literature and pictures on early aviation - preparation of an exhibition at SU.

On the occasion of the acquisition of an extensive collection of books on aviation, this course is designed to prepare the books for a small exhibition at SU. The steps and procedures of museum work will be practiced and practiced. Participants are expected to take an interest in the pioneering days of aviation up to the 1920s, read primary and research literature, cooperatively sift through exhibits, assemble them in a structured manner, and develop texts of various typologies.


The seminar will be held as a block course with the following dates (each Friday): 10/22 (2:00pm-3:30pm); 10/29 (2:00pm-3:30pm), 11/19; 12/10; 01/14; 02/04 (2:00pm-5:00pm each). Between the dates, assignments are to be completed in individual or group work.


In addition to the participation in the selection of exhibits described above, students are required to write shorter texts totaling approximately five pages (KGT I) or approximately 10 pages (KGT II). At the same time, there is the possibility to later choose topics from the course for the written or oral module final examination.
