Regardless of whether you are studying physics, mathematics, computer science or another subject in the B.Sc. at KIT - there are many good reasons to choose history as an elective subject:
- Developments in the history of technology and the environment - the study of history is an excellent complement to formal training in STEM degree programs.
- You have the choice - and decide for yourself which historical topics you want to study in depth.
You agree the exact structure of the supplementary subject (for computer science students) or special supplementary subject history (for students of other STEM subjects) individually with a representative from the history department. You must then have the agreed study and examination plan approved by the examination board of your faculty. The scope of the compulsory elective subject depends on the requirements of the SPO / module handbook of your degree program.
