  • The history of the family is one of the well-researched cross-sectional areas of social and mental history. However, this is less true for the 20th century. Here, family sociology, pedagogy and psychology are dominant. The lecture presents family history as a resource to be developed in a dialogue between historical science and lay people interested in family history - among other things with reference to a long-term project to secure family historical lore at the Christuskirche congregation.
